Our 9 day trip to Bali started on Friday 13th March, never the best date to fly for those of us who are superstitious. I had last been to Bali at Christmas 2011 and Aida had only been to Jakarta, so it was another new adventure for her. I had planned the trip to incorporate places I hadn’t been before as well as taking Aida to the best places I had seen previously. On my previous trip I had stayed at Sanur Beach and had not even set foot inside the infamous Kuta area so this was quickly arranged to be our first stop. The good thing is that Kuta from the airport is literally 5/10 minutes depending on traffic and where you are staying. The cost is Rp100,000 approx $7 USD. One thing I did notice throughout our time in Bali is that the taxi drivers didn’t try and rip you off, the prices were quite fixed, maybe this was pure luck or the norm, I’m unsure.
